The Continental Fire Co.

A little expensive, but you get what you pay for! The atmosphere is unique in the area and more upscale than most other places locally. They often host fun events and music. The club atmosphere isn't for everyone, so be warned if you show up late and it's getting loud. Their drink selection is right on and they often carry drinks you can't find elsewhere.

This was a fun place to happen upon. Food was great. Band was . Just an all around great time there. We had appetizers for dinner, Muscles and wings, it was a perfect night.

I recently visited the Continental Fire Company at 408 E Montezuma Ave, in Houghton, MI. It's a beautiful restaurant, very open, and the bar was a nice place to be that night. The bartender and bar patrons were very motivated and were having a good conversation. I had a sun dried tomato covered chicken that was very good. It looks like a nice place to have a nice drink or.perfect for a date night.

Sat down at the bar next to two of my friends. We were the only ones at the bar and the rest of the spaces were dirty dishes.The bartender ignored my presence and went to pushing buttons on the screen with her back to us. The manager (not Julie, it was a young skinny guy) was directly in front of me and he chose to peel limes instead of asking if I wanted a drink and a menu. I sat in that situation for a few minutes before raising my voice (so the bartender at the screen could hear me) and saying, “can I get a menu?”Service was marginal after that. Didn’t ask if I wanted another drink. Didn’t refill my water. Had to ask the manager to cash me out instead of doing busy work at the end.Having been a server and bartender myself, there is lots of room for improvement with the service at the bar.

Food prep was slow tonight but the dishes were delicious and worth the wait. Will definitely stop in again the next time we're in town.

This place is wonderful! Beautiful building, tables, dishes, etc. Super friendly staff. And the food? Wow! Best food in Houghton or Hancock, hands down. Great quality food, large portions, & lots of flavor.

Stopped in during a family harley ride last night. 6 of us enjoyed a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They were short staffed but those who were there rose to the occasion and took great care of everyone.We Wisconsinites love our brandy old fashions and the bartender did not disappoint in crafting ours! Every one of us had a fantastic and tasty meal. 14 oz Steaks, chicken, brisket sandwiches all perfectly prepared, seasoned and served. We were all very happy and would go back often if lived in the vicinity.

My husband and I loved this place! The service and fresh food is fantastic!
